An Amazing example of Participatory Democracy in Action!

On April 17th, 2018. The city staff recommended that council vote to withdraw the request to metro to expand the Urban Growth Boundary around Sherwood. The council agreed and voted unanimously to withdraw the request.

The council meeting went very well. It was a packed house! Many of you showed up to give thoughtful and relevant feedback to the council. I am so proud of our community for taking the time to get involved in such a positive, informed and constructive manner.

We took a stand for our schools, our kids come first!

We took a stand for our sovereignty, as a community that wants to chart a course toward growth on our own terms, not the terms that large developers and outside special interests would have us accept! Great Job Sherwood!!!!!!
